Michael Jackson’s Xscape Songs Premieres May 13th

The nation was shocked when Michael Jackson died in 2009 from a lethal dose of an anesthetic prescribed by his doctor – Jackson was only 50. As the 5th anniversary of Jackson’s death approaches in June, fans will once again be able to enjoy Jackson’s music in a new way. Epic Records, along with the late pop stars estate, will be releasing “Xscape” may 13th. These new Xscape songs includes 8 new, never before heard tracks that have been updated by producers such as Rodney Jerkins, Jerome “Jroc” Harmon, Stargate, John McCLain, and Timbaland.

Xscape Songs: Jackson Couldn’t Escape Addiction

Michael Jackson was found in cardiac arrest on June 25, 2009 in his home in Holmby Hills, LA. Jackson was later pronounced dead at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center from a deadly mixture of prescription drugs. Propofol and benzodiazepine, as well as some other drugs, were found in his system. As a result of Jackson’s prescription drug abuse death, his personal physician served a two-year prison sentence in 2011 after he was convicted of involuntary manslaughter.

Xscape Songs Release 5 Years After Jackson’s Death

After Jackson’s death, prescription drug abuse really hit the mainstream media. Suddenly, the public became more aware of celebrities who were having a problem with prescription pills, and they’re not just your average “Joe the addict” that nobody knows. Prescription drug abuse is a serious problem in the United States and it has become our nation’s black plague. With many bad doctors prescribing more pills to make even more money, we are going to continue to see a rise in deaths as a result of pill abuse and overdoses. The only way we can help alleviate the problem as a whole is to break the stigma of what an addict is and what addiction looks like (because it can be anyone and it can affect anyone), raise awareness, help prevent through education, and treat those who are suffering from drug abuse and drug addiction.

Michael Jackson’s Xscape Songs May Bring Hope

Fans may be excited about Michael Jackson’s new Xscape songs, but we may have forgotten that Jackson struggled for years in silence with substance abuse issues. We hope that those who are suffering from prescription drug abuse will be re-reminded of the dangers that come with pill abuse as these Xscape songs are released. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to recover from addiction and there is hope. If you are suffering in silence with drug abuse, please give us a call today at 1-800-439-5959 – you are not alone.
